Who am I kidding?

Well I can definitely say that my life has changed. I was hoping to get at least a little bit of painting done these last few weeks but we've been so busy with family visiting and adjusting to having a little girl. Hopefully things will slow down this week and I can get back in the swing of things. Here is my short term goal list:

1. Finish the unpainted Flames of War mini's I've gotten
a. Finish painting my first of two 25 pounder platoons (with transports)
b. Paint a 3rd Rifle/machine gun platoon
c. Base 4-5 platoons

2. Finish at least a few of my 25mm ACW regiments
a. Paint flags
b. Dullcoate

3. Start on some 25mm ACW terrain (mainly some hills and fences)

I haven't posted in a little while, I've been a little busy with a brand new baby girl! She got a Greek name so maybe she'll get into Ancients!

148th Anniversary of the battle of Sharpsburg

...or Antietam as those dirty Yankees call it!
We had a game planned to refight the afternoon part of the battle where Burnside attacked Longstreet across the Antietam creek. We had some family things come up and had to cancel, sad times. Hopefully we can get a game in soon. And I've almost got enough 25/28mm ACW figs painted to put on a small game with some home grown rules.

25 Pounder Platoon WIP

I had a productive day on these, I got the two remaining guns and limbers assembled, all of the crew painted, and the second of four trucks painted. I've got a decent amount that I need to base but I can't remember what paints I used for the rest of the army. I guess that's something I should have written down!

Slowly but surely these are getting finished, I put 3 solids coats of paint on these to prevent warping since they're so heavy, and then when I was almost done glueing these down I realized I was out of super glue, so the basing will have to wait a little bit longer!

8th Army Update

Well now that I'm done with my Orphan Brigade diorama, it's to the grind for Flames of War, I'm trying to finish my MW British 8th Army Infantry Company. Here is where I am so far, I still need to buy a few more things to build up to 1500 points (a third rifle/mg platoon, and another four 25 pounders, jeeps to tow my AT, and probably some better tanks to give me some more options.)
